The Kentucky Wildcats came out in very impressive fashion during their first NCAA Tournament game against Abilene Christian, as they picked up a blowout victory by a score of 79-44.
Keldon Johnson had his best game in a long time, as he went for 25 points on 10/16 shooting. Reid Travis also had a big game for the Cats as he went for 18 points on 8/10 shooting while also grabbing 9 boards.
This was all without their best player in PJ Washington.
Now, the Cats are ready to play on Saturday against a very talented Wofford team. Most of you saw how hot the Terriers got behind the arc against Seton Hall, and that has been their trademark all season.
It’s not looking very good in terms of PJ suiting up for the second round matchup. However, Kentucky is still favored to win the game.
As we saw in the first game, key players stepped up big time in his absence. If he remains out, they will have to be consistent to keep the Cats alive in the tournament.
What do you think - can the Cats get the victory over a hot Wofford team? Let us know your prediction in the comments!
