Wednesday Quickies: PJ Washington Injury Watch Edition

All eyes are on PJ and the walking boot

NCAA Basketball: SEC Conference Tournament-Kentucky vs Tennessee Christopher Hanewinckel-USA TODAY Sports

UPDATE

It appears PJ Washington is ok and expected to play tomorrow night when the Kentucky Wildcats take on the Abilene Christian Wildcats.

Injury news in March always causes extra anxiety, so it’s no surprise all eyes are on PJ Washington and the walking boot he has reportedly been in since Sunday.

It’s pretty evident that PJ is one of, if not the most, critical pieces in Kentucky’s chance to make a run in the NCAA Tournament, so not having Washington at 100% could be detrimental, to put it lightly.

The injury is reportedly not serious, so it’s probably nothing to get too worried about, but with Kentucky among the teams having the best chance to cut down the nets in Minneapolis, it’s hard to not be a little concerned.

We should know more information today (hopefully) but as for now, the reports we have should be viewed as optimistic.

Get healthy, PJ!
