Matthew Mitchell and his Kentucky Wildcats are officially in the NCAA Tournament.
On Monday, the full women’s bracket was revealed, and UK will be a Greensboro Region’s No. 6 seed in Raleigh (NC) for the first weekend. They’ll play No. 11 seed Princeton on Saturday, which is hopefully the same day the men face either Seton Hall or Wofford in the men’s tournament.
If the Cats win their first game, they’ll face the winner of NC State vs. Maine in the Round of 32.
If UK advances to the Sweet 16, the next two games would be in Greensboro, likely against the No. 3 seed Iowa Hawkeyes, then No. 1 overall seed Baylor Bears.
After finishing the regular season with a 24-7 and No. 19 ranking in the AP Poll, Mitchell and the Wildcats are hoping to make the school’s first-ever trip to the Final Four.
