Where will the Cats land?

NCAA Womens Basketball: Big East Conference Tournament-Marquette vs DePaul David Banks-USA TODAY Sports

Prognosticators have been speculating for months about what the NCAA Tournament bracket may look like. On Sunday, all of the speculation will be over as the field will be revealed live on CBS.

The Kentucky Wildcats are currently projected as a 2 seed by most, with Louisville being a possible regional destination.

It will also be interesting to see how the ACC plays out with the Virginia Cavaliers, Duke Blue Devils, and North Carolina Tar Heels all vying for a 1 seed as well.

When you add in the fact that the Gonzaga Bulldogs fell to Saint Mary's in their conference tournament, everything we thought we new about the 1 seed line is now very cloudy.

The coverage on the CBS Selection Sunday show was criticized last year for the odd format of revealing the team alphabetically. However, all should be assured that this year will return to the region by region format of previous years.

“The Selection Show will begin with the release of the full bracket by region, followed by analysis, discussion, interviews and reactions from teams as they find out if they made the ‘Dance,’” according to a CBS press release. “Host Greg Gumbel will be joined by analysts Clark Kellogg and Seth Davis in New York. Selection Committee Chair Bernard Muir will also sit down for a live interview to discuss the bracket.”
