According to Football Scoop Mark Stoops has made two more additions to his coaching staff.
The Kentucky Wildcats have added Joe Scola as a defensive assistant and Mark Perry as an assistant in quarterback quality control.
Both coaches have worked at UK in the past.
Scola was the director of player development at Kentucky from 2013-14 during the first two years of the Stoops era.
In addition, Scola served under Stoops at Florida State as a defensive assistant when Stoops was the Seminoles defensive coordinator.
As for Perry, he returns to UK for the first time in almost two decades. Perry was a backup quarterback for the Wildcats during the Jared Lorenzen era.
In addition, he was a graduate assistant from 2001-2002. Perry coached high school football from 2004-2017 including at Lexington Catholic where he coached quarterback Beau Allen, who the Cats are targeting for 2020. He then served as a director of operations at Troy in 2018.
The two additions are far from splashy, but Mark Stoops has seemed to make it a trend of late to bring former Wildcats onto the coaching staff as this now makes three former Cats hired by Stoops this off-season.
