College GameDay coming to Memorial Coliseum for Kentucky vs. Tennessee

ESPN will be back in Lexington for arguably the biggest game of Kentucky’s season to date.

College GameDay is coming back to Lexington, only with a twist this time around.

The ESPN show typically airs from the home arena of the team they’re visiting that week. That was the case the last time GameDay came to Lexington and aired live from Rupp Arena.

This time, however, the show will be airing live from Memorial Coliseum when the Kentucky Wildcats host the Tennessee Volunteers. Memorial Coliseum, which was the Wildcats’ home from the 1950-51 season to 1975-76, is currently the home of Kentucky’s women’s basketball, volleyball and gymnastics teams and right next door to the Joe Craft Center, where the men’s basketball team practices and trains every day.

Depending on Saturday’s results, the Cats and Vols could enter next Saturday as top-five teams. Tennessee is currently ranked No. 1 and hosts Florida today. Kentucky is ranked No. 6 and plays at Mississippi State.

Seats for the show will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. Doors will open at 9:30 AM EST with the live show starting at 11 a.m. Other segments from the crew for other ESPN shows will be taped prior to 11.
