Kentucky has scored a four-star Yahtzee on National Signing Day.

It comes in the form of defensive back MJ Devonshire, who announced his pledge to the Wildcats on Wednesday morning at a ceremony.

Kentucky Football’s Twitter account actually hinted at this commitment on Tuesday when they posted ‘Savage 2.0,’ which is in Devonshire’s Twitter profile.

Leading up to his decision, Kentucky has been trending with Devonshire in the 247 Sports crystal ball. The Aliquippa (PA) product is a four-star prospect at Rivals and the 32nd-best cornerback prospect in addition to being the sixth-best play from football-rich Pennsylvania.

Pittsburgh and West Virginia were viewed as the biggest threats to keep him from Kentucky. He also held offers from Ohio State, Ole Miss, Michigan State, Maryland and Syracuse among others.

With Kentucky losing Derrick Baity, Mike Edwards, Lonnie Johnson, Chris Westry and Darius West to graduation, Devonshire was one of Kentucky’s most important recruits in this class. Now, he’ll be in great position to compete for a big role when the 2019 season begins.

Devonshire joins four-star safety Moses Douglass, three-star JUCO safety Quandre Mosley, three-star JUCO cornerback Brandin Echols, and three-star cornerback Jalen Geiger as secondary recruits who’ve picked the Cats.
