The Kentucky Wildcats are now 19-3 and 8-1 in SEC play after a 76-48 demolition of the South Carolina Gamecocks.
PJ Washington led the way with 20 points, his fourth 20-point outing in his last five games. He also had five rebounds and two steals.
Tyler Herro and Reid Travis added 11 points for the Wildcats, but freshman forward EJ Montgomery was the big story of the night. The freshman forward came off the bench to post career highs of 11 points and 13 rebounds, his first career double-double.
Kentucky dominated South Carolina 50-27 on the glass and forced 19 turnovers leading to 26 points. It marked the fourth time in five games Kentucky has held the opposition to 54 points or less. Kentucky has also held five-=straight opponents to 37% or worse shooting from the field
The Cats will be in action again this Saturday when they face the Mississippi State Bulldogs in Starkville, a place that’s always been tough for them to win in. If Kentucky does win, they’ll extend their winning streak to 10 games and win their 20th game.
