Even in the midst of an eight-game win streak, the recruitment trail never stops for Kentucky Basketball.

High school junior and five-star recruit Johnny Juzang is now one of many players Kentucky is recruiting for their 2020 class.

The 6-7, 200-pound small forward is currently listed as the #22 ranked player in his class, according to Rivals. Besides UK, there are many other top programs actively recruiting Juzang. Those schools include UCLA, Virginia, USC, Kansas and Marquette.

Recently, Juzang told Rivals’ Corey Evans from Rivals that Kentucky has entered the mix, and he may visit Lexington.

When asked specifically about Kentucky’s recruitment, Juzang went into further detail about his recruitment by the school.

“I may take an unofficial visit there in the spring. I like how they are up front about what they do. At the end of the day, I want to play in the pros, and they have the platform for it, and they are upfront about it. It is a place you can come in, and if that is your goal, they can help you do that, as long as you are willing to put the work in and fight for your spot. They have the blueprint if you want to do that.”

As for where he will end up next, Johnny spoke further about what he plans on taking visits in his future.

“I have visited Virginia officially and Kansas unofficially, and I might visit Kentucky. They have been talking to me a lot, and they really want to get me out there. I don’t have anything else planned, but I am pretty open with visiting a few others.”

It will most likely be some time before he makes a decision, but it’s clear Kentucky is now in the running.

For what it’s worth, Juzang’s crystal ball currently has predictions for Kansas and Stanford.
