Jamie Boggs - Sea of Blue

It wasn’t the prettiest of games, but the Kentucky Wildcats were able to battle back from down 15 in the second half to top the Arkansas Razorbacks, 70-66, behind Tyler Herro’s career high 29 points.

I went to the airwaves to discuss the win and here is a recap:

  • Tyler Herro kept Kentucky in the game thanks to a career night
  • Keldon Johnson struggled in the first half but in the second half did exactly what he needs to do going forward
  • Ashton Hagans was tabbed to lock up Isaiah Joe on defense and he did it by holding him to three second half points after Joe torched Herro for 16 in the first half
  • Cats looked sleepy and lethargic but woke up just in time
  • John Calipari was not in a “We win or we learn” mood after the game and had some choice words for his players
  • Old PJ Washington made an appearance
  • UK really missed Reid Travis as that was a perfect game for him
  • Nick Richards was really good at times but his defense against Gafford left much to be desired
  • Fans phone calls and more!

I’ll be back on the airwaves after the Cats take on the Tennessee Volunteers on Saturday at 2:00 pm ET on CBS. Show will start a little after 4:00 pm so join the fun!
