It’s game day in the Bluegrass!
The Kentucky Wildcats are back in action this afternoon as they get ready to take on the Auburn Tigers in Rupp Arena at 1:30 pm EST.
The last time these two teams met, it was a physical battle all the way down to the last second. The Cats squeezed out a victory at Auburn after a missed prayer at the end.
This time around, things are much different as Kentucky is now the No. 4 team in the country, and they’re looking to earn a 1 seed for the NCAA Tournament with 5 games left in the season.
As for Auburn, they’re coming off two very hot performances where they were on fire from beyond the arc, but they’ve gone just 5-5 over their last 10 games and desperately need a signature win for a good seed in the Big Dance.
This will be the first game without senior forward Reid Travis, so it’ll be interesting to see who steps up in his place. Keep an eye on EJ Montgomery as he has immense potential and an opportunity like this could play big for him.
You can watch today’s game on CBS, or stream it online at CBSSports.com and on a mobile devices using the CBS Sports App.
