This was a pretty “please let the end” game from the start. Kentucky led by 18 at the half, but then seemed to be coasting most of the second-half. I’ll just chalk it up to them being beat up from the Tennessee game over the weekend.
PJ Washington continued his tear on the SEC, putting up 18 points and eight rebounds. Tyler Herro added 18 points and five rebounds of his own.
The big story of the game was Reid Travis going out with a knee injury in the second half. UK diagnosed him with a sprained knee, which should ease the mind of fans at the moment, but I would expect him to have an MRI and an update should come soon.
Now, on to Auburn. Here’s what social media had to say about the Cats’ performance:
Kentucky has now had a stretch where they have outscored their opponent by at least 20 points in 12 of their last 13 games— Corey Price (@coreyp08) February 20, 2019

The end of this game showcases what will be an issue if they lose Reid Travis for any period of time— Matt Jones (@KySportsRadio) February 20, 2019
Without Travis, Kentucky makes a lot more Defensive errors that can be exploited. He is always in the right place, and you only miss that when it’s gone

If Reid is out we need to activate Junior Nick Richards now— Big Blue Drew (@BigBlueDrew33) February 20, 2019
Just shows how important Reid Travis is to Kentucky, team looked so disorganized once he went out.— KY Clips™️ (@KY_Clips) February 20, 2019
Tyler Herro hit 30 straight free throws, missed one and has now hit 14 in a row. Math says that's 44 of 45 (including 8 of 8 tonight). Now 61 of 66 this season (92.4%). Herro 18 points, 5 rebounds; PJ 18 and 8.— Kyle Tucker (@KyleTucker_ATH) February 20, 2019
FINAL: Kentucky 66, Missouri 58
Gross. And is Reid Travis OK?
Kentucky had just 42 field goal attempts tonight, their 2nd fewest in a regular season road game in the John Calipari era (39, at South Carolina, January 24th, 2015)— Corey Price (@coreyp08) February 20, 2019
Hey, Kentucky Basketball, if y’all could go ahead and do that MRI tonight so the entire city of Lexington can get some sleep that’d be great..— Hunter Mitchell (@HMitchell14) February 20, 2019
If not for the Reid Travis injury uncertainty, this would be the least-interesting game Kentucky has played all season.— Kyle Tucker (@KyleTucker_ATH) February 20, 2019

Missouri outrebounded Kentucky 34-28 and had two fewer turnovers. Free throws were the difference: UK 19 of 22, Mizzou 5 of 7.— Dave Matter (@Dave_Matter) February 20, 2019
This is a world class brick . It is so off target it appears he may have suffered a stroke upon release. We should pray for this little fella pic.twitter.com/MqU70wA4MA— Lee Cruse (@leecruse) February 20, 2019
