Saturday was a special day in Lexington, largely thanks to the Kentucky Wildcats crushing the top-ranked Tennessee Volunteers.
The day began with a UK student hitting a halfcourt shot to score a $19,000 payday. Kentucky didn’t need any hail mary magic in this one, as the Cats beat the Vols in every way imaginable.
Kentucky led by as many as 24 before notching an 86-69 victory to get back in the race for the SEC regular-season championship, not to mention a 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament.
