The Kentucky Wildcats are back in the postseason for a fourth-straight year.
This time, they’ll face the Virginia Tech Hokies in the 2019 Belk Bowl, which will take place in Charlotte (NC) on December 31st at noon on ESPN.
The game, which takes place at Bank of America Stadium, will mark the first time Kentucky has played in the Belk Bowl. This will be the 19th bowl game in school history, as Kentucky holds a 9-9 record after winning last year’s Citrus Bowl.
The Wildcats finished the regular season with a 7-5 record, while Virginia Tech went 8-4 and came up one game short of making the ACC Championship Game.
Head coach Mark Stoops is the second coach in school history to lead Kentucky to four-straight bowls, joining Rich Brooks (2006-09) in accomplishing that feat.
The two schools have some history, as Kentucky has an 11-6-2 all-time record against the Hokies, winning the last matchup in 1987, 14-7.
Kentucky’s official allotment will go on sale Monday, Dec. 9 at 9 am. on UKFootballTix.com or by calling (800) 928-2287.
