Later today, we will finally learn where Kentucky will be headed for its bowl game this season.
Since the end of the regular season, the bowl projections have been varied but it seems like there are two popular options.
The first is the Taxslayer Gator Bowl in Jacksonville. The Wildcats played Georgia Tech in this bowl game a couple years ago and a return trip is on the table this season, and probably the most likely option. This year, the Cats could face a Big 10 team in that bowl if they are selected, with a possible matchup against Indiana being floated.
The second most likely option is the Belk Bowl in Charlotte. This would be Kentucky’s first time playing in this bowl and they would likely face off against an ACC team, with a possible matchup against Virginia Tech on the table.
Many members of the BBN have hoped for a return trip to the Music City Bowl in Nashville, for obvious reasons. However, the Music City Bowl is very intrigued by Tennessee and Louisville, both of which would knock Kentucky out of the running.
If I’m taking my guess, I’d say Kentucky is headed to Jacksonville and a matchup with Indiana would probably draw some good publicity because of the basketball rivalry.
Leave your guesses below on where you think Kentucky will go bowling this season.
