Another day, another player bitten by the injury bug.
Ahead of the Kentucky Wildcats’ matchup with Fairleigh Dickinson, the school announced that Ben Jordan is out today with a head injury.

Jordan, who is a pitcher for the baseball team, joined the team during fall camp and has give UK more depth for practice. Due to injuries to Nate Setina, Nick Richards and EJ Montgomery since the exhibition season, Jordan has been an important player for depth and another practice body.
With Sestina still out with a wrist injury, UK’s frontcourt depth is dangerously thin if foul trouble and/or another injury occurs.
And while none of these injuries have been enough to sideline players for a month or even the season, this is quickly becoming the most injury-prone team of the John Calipari era. At this rate, he’ll need to find another walk-on just to have enough players to have some semblance of a practice.
