Marvel Allen plans to play for John Calipari at Kentucky

Marvel Allen is a 6’3 guard in the class of 2023 from Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. He also plans to play for the Kentucky Wildcats under coach John Calipari.

Allen is ranked in the low 30’s and is hoping to score a Kentucky offer in the future, and he also has a nice plan to get coach Cal’s attention.

“I’m going to try to talk to him,” said Allen. “I’ve never spoke to him, but on the travel circuit, I see him. I want to get on his list.”

Allen has stated that Calipari is his favorite coach in the game right now, and watches clips and documentaries of Cal all the time. “I like Coach Cal; that’s my favorite coach,” he said in an interview with Chris Nelsen of The Palm Beach Post this weekend. “He brings so much intensity. I watch their clips all the time, their documentaries. That draws my attention.”Allen currently has schools like Oklahoma State, South Florida, and Dayton vying for his services, but again, he is only a freshman in high school.

Allen said he plans to attend a Kentucky game in the near future and eventually introduce himself to coach Cal after the game ends. This kid wants to become a Cat, so let’s make him a Cat in three years, Cal.
