Saturday was a fun one in Lexington.

Despite a downpour of rain, the Big Blue Nation was treated to a Governor’s Cup blowout of the Cardinals, as Kentucky ran away with a 45-13 win. It was a historic day for Kentucky Football and all-everything star Lynn Bowden Jr., who thoroughly dismantled Louisville for a second-straight year.

UK Athletics has now released a list of team and individual Governor’s Cup records the Wildcats broke Saturday:

  • Most Rushing Yards: 517, Kentucky (old record 363 by Louisville, 2006)
  • Most Rushing Touchdowns: 6, Kentucky (tied record by Louisville, 2006)
  • Fewest Passing Attempts: 2, Kentucky (old record 14 by Kentucky, 1994)
  • Fewest Completions: 1, Kentucky (old record 7 by Kentucky, 1994)
  • Fewest Passing Yards: 4, Kentucky (old record 79 by Louisville, 2018)
  • Fewest Penalties: 2, Kentucky (old record 3 by Kentucky 1994 and 2005, Louisville 2006)

  • Most Rushing Touchdowns: 4, Lynn Bowden Jr., Kentucky (old record 3 by Michael Bush, 2006)
