The Kentucky Wildcats will have to wait on the signature on one of their top offensive recruits in the 2020 class.
Torrance Davis, a running back out of Cleveland (OH), will not sign during the early signing period. However, Davis made an announcement on Instagram that says he will sign with the Wildcats on Feb. 5 during the late signing period.
It’s always concerning when a committed recruit doesn’t sign with said school during the early period, but it sounds like Davis is firm with his commitment to Mark Stoops’ program Perhaps Davis has some academic work he needs to get sorted out before he can sign a national letter of intent with Kentucky.
This recruitment was over back in the summer as Davis committed to Kentucky on June 7th. He picked Kentucky over Cincinnati, Indiana, Michigan State and Tennessee among many others.
Davis is a three-star RB and is ranked 362th nationally by 247sports in addition to being the 12th- overall player in the state of Ohio. Rivals has him listed as the #26 running back in the country and the #8 player in his state.
Kentucky is loaded in the running backs room with AJ Rose, Kavosiey Smoke and Christopher Rodriguez being a three headed monster for the Cats in the backfield. Davis adds to that depth and will help a strong room stay strong in the future.
