Eddie Gran voices confidence in future of Kentucky offense

The Wildcats offensive coordinator feels great about the future of the UK offense.

It’s safe to say Kentucky Wildcats offensive coordinator loves the direction that the program he has played a major role in rebuilding is going.

The Wildcats are fresh off their fourth straight winning season and are preparing for a fourth bowl game under Gran’s offense.

Next season, the Wildcats offense will take a bit of a hit, as they’ll lose Lynn Bowden, Ahmad Wagner and Logan Stenberg, but this does not at all have Gran worried.

In fact, he sounded more confident than ever when discussing the future of Kentucky’s offense.

When discussing the additions of quarterbacks Beau Allen and Joey Gatewood Gran said, “We could go into a game tomorrow with Beau Allen and we wouldn’t have any problem moving the ball. Same with Joey. … I’m not sure I could have said that three years ago.”

Gran made these comments when discussing the depth of Kentucky’s roster that has become as deep as anyone’s in the SEC East.

Despite the losses, Kentucky will return four starting offensive lineman, all three running backs who have been significant contributors this season and will have Terry Wilson back at quarterback.

It’s safe to say with those guys, Gran and the depth of UK’s roster, the Kentucky offense is in good hands.
