While JT Thor is someone John Calipari has shown interest in, he has long been seen as a heavy Oklahoma State Cowboys lean.
However, according to Thor himself, he is still talking to a handful of schools, including the Kentucky Wildcats, along with Oklahoma State, the Georgia Bulldogs, and the Kansas Jayhawks.
Corey Evans from Rivals spoke to Thor about his recruitment and why Thor is taking his time to choose his school.
“We talked to them [Kentucky] last week. They were just saying to keep hooping throughout the season and they are going to check me out and stuff. I think we are going to get a visit there but I don’t know when yet,” Thor said of Kentucky.
Evans said that Thor is likely to visit to Kentucky in the coming weeks and that playing overseas is still an option for the four-star forward. However, Evans said that Oklahoma State is still in the lead for Thor, but Kentucky and the coaching staff has done a great job of silently making up ground.
Evans doesn’t think it’s just a two-horse race as of now, but it would be a “relative surprise” If Thor were to choose any other team besides OK State or Kentucky.
