Four-star athlete Joel Williams has a new decision date.
On the first day of the early signing period, Williams announced he would make his college commitment Thursday at 2 pm:

Williams initially planned to commit on December 17th with Kentucky having all of the momentum. Though he ultimately delayed the announcement by two days, it still appears the Wildcats are in a god spot for his signature.
Standing 6-1, 180 pounds, Williams is one of the best recruits in the state of Louisiana. Playing for Madison Prep Academy in Baton Rouge, Williams ranks 304th in the nation and 13th among athlete recruits via 247 Sports composite, which measures all of the recruiting rankings. He’s expected to play cornerback or safety in college.
On November 21st, Williams released his top six, which included an all-SEC list of the Alabama Crimson Tide, Auburn Tigers, Florida Gators, Georgia Bulldogs, Kentucky Wildcats and LSU Tigers. He also holds offers from the Ohio State Buckeyes, Texas Longhorns, Penn State Nittany Lions and Oklahoma Sooners. He was previously committed to the Gators.
Williams, if he comes to Lexington, would already be one of the highest-ranked recruits in what’s become a loaded 2020 haul for Kentucky. If we’re ranking the recruits based on their offer sheet, Williams would have an argument for the top spot.
As of now, Kentucky has the majority of predictions in the 247 Crystal Ball and Rivals FutureCast. Adding him to Kentucky’s 2020 class would further solidify its top-25 status while also being the best class — at least in terms of recruiting rankings — that Mark Stoops and his staff have assembled in what’s been a tremendous tenure in Lexington.
