National Signing Day Live Blog and Headlines

Today is the early National Signing Day as the Cats will hopefully lock down most of their 2020 class

UK Athletics

During his Signing Day press conference, Mark Stoops alluded to three more recruits that Kentucky is working hard to get. Those are likely Michael Drennen, Vito Tisdale and Joel Williams. Tisdale is expected to announce his commitment at the Army all-American Game in January, while Williams and Drennen could announce at any time now.

Four-star defensive tackle Octavious Oxendine has committed to Kentucky.

Four-star defensive end Tyler Baron has committed to Tennessee over Kentucky.

While Kentucky Basketball will be taking on Utah late (and I mean really late) in Las Vegas tonight, the spotlight today is on UK Football as Mark Stoops and the Kentucky coaching staff will look to lock up a huge chunk of their 2020 recruiting class.

Today is the early National Signing Day that was implemented a couple years ago, which has been a benefit for Kentucky in being able to lock up its highly-rated recruits early on before the traditional signing day in February.

And this year, Kentucky has a fantastic 2020 class that could get even better. Yesterday, Kentucky landed commitments from two highly-rated offensive linemen in RJ Adams and Jeremy Flax, two big acquisitions to the class in which Stoops and Co. have landed commitments from several top players that will play along the offensive and defensive lines, an absolute necessity in the SEC.

That’s not to mention the several other players in the 2020 class. Beau Allen, John Young, Andru Phillips, Justin Rogers... the list goes on and on. You can view the full class here.

Needless to say, it’s going to be an exciting day for the future of Kentucky Football. To follow along with the action, stay tuned to A Sea of Blue. We’ll be providing updates throughout the day to give you a glimpse of the future stars that will don the Blue and White in Lexington.

*Move Flax over to the committed side * This is one of the most notable differences between Stoops and UK football in the past.
