It is now official. Mark Stoops and his staff have brought a five-star prospect to Lexington, as defensive lineman Justin Rogers has signed with the Kentucky Wildcats.
Rogers, who is a native of Oak Park, Michigan, who is rated as a five-star prospect by Rivals. In addition, Rivals ranks him as the 15th best prospect in the nation for 2020 and both the top defensive tackle and top prospect from Michigan in the 2020 class.
Kentucky offered Rogers when he was an 8th grader and since have done everything possible to reel him to Lexington.
Rogers chose Kentucky over Alabama, Georgia, LSU, Michigan and Texas among others.
While Rogers probably could make an immediate impact on either offense or defense, he may be held to just four games in 2020 so he can redshirt, being that Kentucky is so deep on the offensive and defensive line. Kentucky was able to redshirt its entire 2019 recruiting class and may choose to do the same next season.
