2022 point guard Bruce Thorton will be visiting the Kentucky Wildcats, unofficially, on January 4th, according to Rivals.
Thorton is ranked as a four-star, top-30 prospect as a sophomore and someone that Kentucky is very interested in.
“The Wildcats haven’t offered Thornton, but clearly there is real interest there with him planning a Jan. 4 trip to Lexington,” said Eric Bossi of Rivals.com. “A tough-as-nails and no nonsense floor general who has had some big scoring outbursts this season, Thornton is very steady and he’s a winner. He’s also exceptional as a defender.”
Kentucky’s coaches have already watched Thornton twice this season, so there is very serious interest from both sides here.
Thornton has offers from Alabama, Clemson, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Iowa State, Ole Miss, Xavier, and Vanderbilt as of now. With the Kentucky staff starting to get more involved, I would expect a Kentucky offer to come in the future.
