Kentucky vs. Georgia Tech game thread and pregame reading

Kentucky starts a challenging four-game stretch today with the Yellow Jackets out of the ACC.

The Kentucky Wildcats are in action today as they face the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets. The game will be played in Rupp Arena and is slated to start at 5:00 PM EST on ESPN. It can also be streamed online with WatchESPN.

The Cats have looked improved over their last stretch of games, but now it’s time to see what they have against Power 5 opponents.

This game will start a four-game stretch against tougher opponents to close out their non-conference schedule. We will know a lot about this team after these games are over.

EJ Montgomery stepped up big last game and finally played the way fans and coaches have been waiting for him to play. He scored 25 points, grabbed nine rebounds, a block, a steal, all while shooting an efficient 12-16 from the field.

If Montgomery and Nick Richards can continue to be forces like this in the frontcourt, this team can be really, really good. Again, we will find out if they’re up to the task during this four game stretch.
