While Kentucky is putting the finishing touches on its 2020 class, they’re also hard at work in 2021, and one of its top players is Jaden Hardy.

Hardy is the No. 9 ranked player in the class of 2021, according to Rivals, and just this past weekend, he showed why he is. Hardy played in the Hoophall West on Saturday and dropped 40 points, 12 assists, and nine rebounds.

Hardy has a slew of offers from Arizona, Alabama, Arizona State, Florida State, Florida, Kansas, Michigan, USC, UCLA, Washington, Wake Forest, and of course, the Kentucky Wildcats.

Hardy spoke with Eric Bossi of Rivals about his recruitment and here is what he had to say regarding Kentucky:

“They Just say that they want me and I would be coming in to play right away. (John Calipari) really loves me and how I play hard and that I play with a chip on my shoulder.”

Bossi says that ever since Hardy got an offer from Kentucky, there have been rumors and sayings that the Wildcats may be in the driver’s seat. However he also says that Hardy is remaining pretty open-minded about his entire process.

“I just want to be under a winning program and a coach that is going to push you. A coach that is going to push you the hardest from day number one to get you to where you want to be,” Hardy said.

Based on that quote, Kentucky could very well be the leader in this recruitment.
