UPDATE
After Kentucky defeated EKU, head coach John Calipari didn’t five much of an update on EJ Montgomery, saying “he’s hurt” and that the sophomore forward is now “day-to-day.”
Hopefully this is nothing significant and Montgomery returns Tuesday vs. Evansville.
The Kentucky Wildcats will be taking the floor tonight against the Eastern Kentucky Colonels for their 2nd game of the season.
Unfortunately, the Cats will be without sophomore big man EJ Montgomery due to an ankle injury that he suffered vs. Michigan State on Tuesday night.

The Cats should be fine in this one without EJ taking the floor, but hopefully this isn’t something that lingers, as they will definitely need him going forward in what is already a thin frontcourt.
That’s even more true with him being the second big to suffer an ankle injury, now joining Nick Richards in that category. The good news is Richards will play vs. EKU, and you have to think Keion Brooks will be getting more minutes off the bench tonight.
We may even see more of Kahlil Whitney at the 4, something Kentucky should be able to work with vs. a smaller Colonels team.
