Treasure Hunt is a top-10 player nationally in women’s hoops, and she’s now a future Wildcat.
Hunt, from Chattanooga (TN), took an official visit to Lexington for Big Blue Madness. She also visited her four other finalists before making her decision.
The 6-2 wing is ranked No. 10 overall in 2020 by All Star Girls Report and 28th overall by ESPN.
In an interview with the Herald-Leader, Bret McCormick of All Star Girls Report gave a brief scouting report of Hunt and what makes her so special.
“There’s no reason Treasure can’t be a pro,” McCormick said. “She’s already got a great body — great size — and she’s always been skilled. … She’s a good athlete. Her three-point shot has gotten a lot better — she has a deep range, and that will continue to get better. She can play multiple positions, probably the ‘2’ the ‘3’ and the ‘4’. She’s a matchup problem.”
One of Hunt’s former teammates is Kentucky sophomore and reigning Freshman of the Year Rhyne Howard, so that likely played a big part in helping the Cats land this elite recruit.
Kentucky now has has three commits for the 2020 class, including four-star point guard Nyah Leveretter and four-star shooting guard Erin Toller.
