The Kentucky Wildcats wrapped up the regular season in style, as they hammered Louisville 45-13 in the annual Governor’s Cup.
On a day that saw 11 seniors (and probably Lynn Bowden) play their final collegiate home game, the Cats thoroughly dismantled the Cardinals to score win No. 7 heading into the postseason.
Lynn Bowden was the star of the show, as he ran for 284 yards, a single-game SEC record for quarterback rushing yards, while chipping in four touchdowns to outscore Louisville by himself.
Kentucky finished the game with 517 yards on the ground, while Louisville’s offense could only muster up 318 total yards and had as many turnovers as scores (2).
Now, the Wildcats will sit at home for the next week before learning their postseason fate on college football’s version of Selection Sunday.
