The Kentucky Wildcats are back in action tonight as they take on the UAB Blazers. The game will be played at Rupp Arena and it is set to tip off at 7:00 pm EST on the SEC Network and can be streamed online using WatchESPN.
Today will not be an easy bout for the Cats, as UAB is one of the better teams they’ve faced so far, and starting forward Nate Sestina is out for the next 3-4 weeks. Over the last couple of games, we have seen this team gel rather well together, so it’s a shame Sestina is out, but now it’s time for the next man to step up.
It’s fair to say that Kahlil Whitney has been slightly underwhelming to start the season. Being a top-15 recruit, I was expecting more. However, he now has an opportunity to step up big time in Sestina’s absence.
Another player that has an opportunity to really shine is Keion Brooks Jr. He hasn’t had as many minutes to show what he’s made of, but that will all change tonight.
