The Kentucky Wildcats are officially bowl eligible after their 50-7 win over the UT-Martin Skyhawks.
It was yet another game that was played in the rain, but it once again proved helpful for the Cats. They were gifted nine points early as UT-Martin had two bad snaps result in a safety and a TD.
Kentucky was a little sluggish offensively early on, but eventually, they got their ground game going. Both Lynn Bowden and AJ Rose rushed for over 100 yards as the team racked up 462 yards on the ground.
Also, the defense had another good performance as they held the Skyhawks to 204 total yards and forced three turnovers.

Game MVP
The day didn’t get off to the best start for the offense, but eventually, they would get it going, and it resulted in the MVP being Lynn Bowden.
Since taking over the QB duties, Bowden has put up ridiculous numbers ,and this week wasn’t any different, even though he didn’t play the full four quarters.
Bowden was pulled in the 3rd quarter with the game already in hand. However, he left his mark on this one before coming out. It was another big performance on the ground for Bowden as he rushed the ball 11 times for 129 yards and two scores while averaging 11.7 yards per carry.
You can tell that Bowden is having a lot of fun running this offense, and it has resulted in fans getting to watch some exciting football that will continue into the bowl season.
Hopefully, Bowden and the offense put on another show next week when the Louisville Cardinals come to town.
