No surprise here.

With the early signing period in the books, the Kentucky Wildcats have already signed six top 50 recruits to their 2020 recruiting class.

With that fresh in mind, Corey Evans of Rivals named Kentucky head coach John Calipari the top recruiter of the decade in his Top 10 list of All-Decade Best Recruiters.

When talking about Calipari, Evans said, “It is John Calipari then practically everybody else. The Kentucky boss brought the one-and-done approach into the mainstream at UK, and while it was frowned upon at first it has now become commonplace. Over the past 10 years, Calipari has landed a whopping 41 five-star prospects, 13 four-star prospects and has enrolled at least two five-star recruits every single fall.”

Among the top recruits Calipari has landed this decade, including Brandon Knight, Anthony Davis, Nerlens Noel, Julius Randle, Karl-Anthony Towns, Devin Booker, De’Aaron Fox and Kevin Know among many others. That helped Kentucky make four Final Fours and win the 2012 NCAA Championship.

Here’s Evans’ top five of the best recruiters this decade:

  1. John Calipari, Kentucky Wildcats
  2. Mike Krzyzewski, Duke Blue Devils
  3. Bill Self, Kansas Jayhawks
  4. Sean Miller, Arizona Wildcats
  5. Roy Williams, North Carolina Tar Heels
