Kentucky visiting a pair of point guards

One is a top-15 recruit in his class.

The Kentucky Wildcats will be in to see a pair of five-star guards today, according to Shun Williams of On the Radar Hoops.

The Wildcats coaching staff will be in to see guards Scoot Henderson and Bruce Thornton, both from the state of Georgia.

Henderson is the No. 12 player in class of 2022 and the No. 2 point guard in the country. He does not have a ton of offers yet, including not having a Kentucky offer, but he does have offers from some big name schools: Auburn, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Georgia Tech, and Ole Miss. His list is very SEC heavy and Kentucky may join that list.

Thornton is a four-star guard and is ranked as No. 43 in the country and the No. 8 point guard. Thornton only has one confirmed offer and that is Georgia Tech, but if Kentucky likes him enough, expect that to change.

A hard as Calipari and his staff have been working to finish off a promising 2020 class and lay the groundwork in 2021, they’ve also spent a lot of time getting an early look at the 2022 class. Part of that is likely due to this class can go straight to the NBA if things go according to plan, so building relationships now and figuring out who could skip college will make this a very challenging class to weed through.

Check out some highlights of both players in action:
