Kentucky missed out on landing the No. 2 prospect in 2020 after Cade Cunningham announced he will be headed to Oklahoma State.

However, Coach Cal and his staff are far from being done with the 2020 recruiting class, as they are still in the hunt for several big names.

Eric Bossi of Rivals.com discussed some of the top remaining forwards in the class with the early signing period arriving.

One player he discussed was big man Greg Brown, who Kentucky has been involved with for a while now.

The teams still involved with Brown include the Kentucky Wildcats, Texas Longhorns, Memphis Tigers, and Auburn Tigers.

Texas has been viewed as the favorite for quite some time, but Bossi suggests that Kentucky is the team making the biggest push.

“North Carolina made Brown’s final list, but the Heels appear to have their focus elsewhere after Brown’s fall unofficial visit. Texas has built a strong relationship over time and holds the hometown advantage. Auburn and Memphis have both been hot at one time or another but the team that appears to be surging some of late is Kentucky. For the most part, though, this is still a pretty open recruitment.”

Who knows when we will have a final decision from Brown, but it is encouraging to hear that Kentucky is the team making the biggest surge right now.
