The Kentucky Wildcats are already off to a good for the 2020 recruiting class. However, they will need to add frontcourt depth with an already stacked backcourt on the way.
Ben Roberts of the Herald-Leader talked to Corey Evans of Rivals about the potential of Devin Askew and Kentucky target Cliff Omoruyi being in Lexington for 2020.
Evans thinks Askew will “definitely reclassify” and play for UK next season, also noting Askew and Omoruyi have history.
“There actually is a background there between Devin and Cliff. They played (in a camp) and developed a quick rapport,” Daniels said. “That’s kind of gone under the radar a bit, but I think getting a guy like Devin really helps with a guy like Cliff.”
Evans added that playing with a top point guard will be a “vital factor” in the final decision of Omoruyi and that a final decision is still a long way off, which gives Askew time to make his decision on which class he will be in.
