Coach Cal and his staff will have yet another big-time recruit making the trip to Lexington for Big Blue Madness this weekend.
2021 center Moussa Cisse is currently ranked as the No. 9 player in the class via 247 Sports composite, and the 6-9 big will be taking an unofficial visit to Kentucky, he announced on Instagram.
In addition, 2020 commitment Terrence Clarke is taking an official visit this weekend, he announced on Instagram. He was at the 2018 edition of Big Blue Madness on an unofficial visit.
With Cisse, the Memphis Tigers are currently viewed as a favorite to land the five-star big man out of Lausanne Collegiate School in Memphis, but Kentucky is now firmly in the mix.
Calipari made the trip to visit with Cisse back on September 30th, and that has led to this unofficial visit. It was later revealed that Cisse has an official offer from Kentucky, though it is still very early in this recruitment.
Other schools believed to be in the mix include the Ole Miss Rebels, UConn Huskies, Pittsburgh Panthers and Georgia Bulldogs.
It will be interesting to see how involved Kentucky stays in this recruitment over the next several weeks. Other 2021 bigs Kentucky is in the mix with include Paolo Banchero, Moussa Diabate, Jon Kuminga and Trey Kaufman.
As for Clarke, he committed to Kentucky in September and announced he would reclassify into 2020 after previously being in the 2021 class. He’s currently the No. 4 overall recruit via Rivals and 247 Sports.
