The Kentucky Wildcats are fresh off a much needed bye week after several injuries and poor play led to a three-game losing streak putting them 2-3 on the season.

While the Wildcats were off Week 6, there was plenty of nation around the country that forced change in this week’s SB Nation FanPulse top 25.

Here’s a look at how the nation voted.

For the second straight week, Alabama took the top spot in this weeks poll as both they and No. 2 Clemson had the week off. There was a shake-up in the top five however as Ohio State jumped ahead of Georgia to No. 3 while the Bulldogs fell down to No. 4.

The lone surprises perhaps are that, despite suffering losses to unranked opponents, UCF and Oklahoma State cracked the list.

This week, FanPulse asked voters which Week 7 matchup they were most looking forward to watching. Of the options, the Red River Showdown between Oklahoma and Texas set for Saturday ranked highest among voters. Here’s a look at how that voting shook out:

Now, here’s a look at the Big Blue Nation’s top 25 heading into Week 7 of the 2019 college football season.

  1. Alabama Crimson Tide (1 Last Week)
  2. Georgia Bulldogs (2)
  3. LSU Tigers (3)
  4. Clemson Tigers (4)

  22. Texas A&M Aggies (22)
  23. Memphis Tigers (Unranked)
  24. Wake Forrest Demon Deacons (Unranked)
  25. Virginia Cavaliers (18)

For the second straight week, Wildcats fans stayed loyal to the SEC, ranking Alabama, Georgia and LSU as the top three teams in the country. It appears however the BBN is not high on Florida as they knocked them down from No. 8 to No. 11 despite their massive win over Auburn this weekend. On the other hand, they didn’t really penalize Auburn for losing, bumping them down just one spot from No. 5 to No. 6.
