The No. 2 Kentucky Wildcats will wrap-up their two game exhibition slate Friday when they play host to the Kentucky State Thorobreds.
In their preseason opener, the Wildcats defeated the Georgetown College Tigers in a game where Immanuel Quickley, Nate Sestina and Ashton Hagans had great success.
The win did not come without concern, however, as junior Nick Richards went out with an ankle injury that could cause him to miss Kentucky’s season opener against Michigan State next Tuesday.
As for Kentucky State, they are an NCAA Division II program that comes to Lexington representing the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.
It will be the Thorobreds first of two exhibition games this season as they come off a 2018-19 season that saw them go 13-14.
Some names to watch are Damarri Moore, who played against the Wildcats as a member of Division I Tennessee State a year ago, Felix Wilson, who attended Henry Clay high school in Lexington, and Grambling State transfer Shaq Athie.
