UK has a new frontcourt target for 2021 in the form of four-star forward Trey Kaufman.
According to Jake Weingarten, UK assistant Joel Justus is visiting Kaufman, who will also be traveling to Lexington next week for Big Blue Madness.
In addition, Kaufman is now confirmed to take an unofficial visit to Lexington for Big Blue Madness, a source told @Stockrisers. This visit comes next week on the 11th. https://t.co/zuqzpBFrs1

The 6-8, 210-pound Kaufman has been one of the fastest risers in the Class of 2021. He entered the summer recruiting circuit ranked 66th overall by 247 Sports, but he’s since climbed all the way to 29th and is on the verge of five-star status. He can score from all three levels and has a nice jumper but can bang in the post and is a solid passer.
Hailing from Silver Creek High School (IN), Kaufman holds scholarship offers from the Louisville Cardinals, Indiana Hoosiers and Purdue Boilermakers among others. His recruitment has been relatively quiet to this point, as he’s only taken three visits to the aforementioned schools, and there are no predictions at his 247 Sports Crystal Ball or Rivals FutureCast.
Judging by his limited highlights, Kaufman looks like he could develop into the kind of versatile big man that John Calipari has been putting a bigger emphasis on recruiting in recent years. Perhaps a scholarship offer could come as early as next weekend when he’s in town for Big Blue Madness.
