Treasure Hunt is a top-10 player in the country in women’s hoops.
Hunt, from Chattanooga (TN), will be taking an official visit to Lexington next weekend for Big Blue Madness, according Ben Roberts of the Herald-Leader, in what could also be a huge recruiting weekend for Matthew Mitchell and his UK Hoops squad.
Roberts added that one of Hunt’s former teammates is UK sophomore and reigning Freshman of the Year Rhyne Howard, so that only helps the Cats’ chances with this elite recruit.
Hunt is down to five schools, and it is SEC heavy: The Kentucky Wildcats, Auburn Tigers, South Carolina Gamecocks, Baylor Bears, and Mississippi State Bulldogs. She has taken official visits to South Carolina and Auburn, and will be on Baylor’s campus this weekend, Kentucky’s next weekend, and Mississippi State’s the week after.
The UK Hoops squad currently has two commits for the 2020 class, including four-star point guard Nyah Leveretter. Landing Hunt could be a huge momentum swing for Matthew Mitchell and his staff.
