The 2020 Kentucky Basketball recruiting class is off to a strong start, and it’s in great position to finish No. 1 in the final team rankings next spring.

However, one name that’s started to fly a bit under the radar with the commitments of Terrence Clarke and Devin Askew, as well as the attention on Cade Cunningham, is Brandon Boston.

Boston was the first player to join Kentucky’s 2020 class, committing to UK back on July 27th. The five-star guard ranks as the 13th best prospect and third-best shooting guard in 2020 via 247 Sports composite. His highest ranking is ninth overall by ESPN.

Saturday, Boston earned national attention for a huge performance for Sierra Canyon High School.

Boston has the potential to UK’s leading scorer when he arrives on campus, depending on who else is on the roster. He can score from all three levels and is starting to show more consistency with his jumper, which was a big question mark with him going into the summer recruiting circuit.

Boston and Sierra Canyon will begin their regular season on November 21st when they take on Montgomery High School.
