Kentucky Wildcats defensive back Stanley Garner has entered the NCAA transfer portal. He made the announcement Wednesday on Twitter:
Please Respect my Decision ‼️ ima always love all the fans who showed loved to me at Kentucky #BBN pic.twitter.com/SjKphZh839
— SG3 (@StanleyG_9) October 23, 2019
Garner becomes the second Wildcat to leave the team this week. Defensive end Shawnkel Knight-Goff decided to give up football earlier this week.
Coming into the season, Garner was expected to have a significant role in Kentucky’s defense, which lost every starting defensive back from a year ago. However, Garner has been unable to see the field much this season.
And with another crop of talented freshman and a transfer (Kelvin Joseph) coming in next season, it won’t get any easier for the Dillard High School (FL) product to see the field.
