Blue-White Game highlights and box score

A fun night in Rupp as the new season draws closer.

The Blue-White Game is in the books, as the Kentucky Wildcats are one step closer toward the new college hoops season.

This was the first time we got to see the Cats in a competitive environment, as the White Team outlasted the Blue Team by a final score of 81-80. But the score really meant nothing in a game where both teams had players switching sides, not to mention only nine scholarship players active as Dontaie Allen is still out while recovering from knee surgery.

That led to John Calipari playing it safe and having both teams play a lot of zone to avoid injury, but it still a fun and competitive game.

Graduate transfer Nate Sestina led the way with 22 points, followed by Nick Richards with 20, and the junior also had a game-high 11 rebounds.
