The Kentucky Wildcats’ 2020 recruiting class is shaping to be among the best in school history.

As of Thursday, the Wildcats’ 2020 class ranks 24th best in the nation, according to 247 Sports, as five-star prospect Justin Rogers and four-stars Samuel Anaele and John Young highlight what’s going to be a historically high rated Kentucky class.

It appears Mark Stoops and Vince Marrow’s work is far from done. 247 Sports recruiting expert Steve Wiltfong is projecting the Wildcats to land four-star defensive back Joel Williams.

Williams is listed as a 6-1 cornerback from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, which is home to the LSU Tigers. The four-star recruit is ranked as the 11th best prospect from the Pelican State for 2020.

As of now, the Alabama Crimson Tide hold 44% of crystal ball predictions with 31% undecided, 12% projecting the Florida Gators, and 6% projecting Kentucky and LSU.

If the Wildcats land Williams, he will join Amani Gilmore, William Nalty and LSU Transfer Kelvin Joseph as Wildcats from Louisiana. In order to do so however, the Wildcats will need to knock-off the SEC’s elite.
