The Kentucky Wildcats already have a great 2020 recruiting class, and it could be getting even better soon.

With the recently reclassified and committed Terrence Clarke, Kentucky is now looking to add a point guard to this bunch, and Devin Askew is one of the best in high school hoops.

Evan Daniels of 247 Sports just logged a prediction in favor of Kentucky for Askew, who many expect to ultimately reclassify into 2020, though a final decision is not expected until the spring.

This shouldn’t come as much of a surprise if you’ve been following Askew’s recruitment recently. In a recent #AskEvan weekly column, Daniels predicted Askew to select Kentucky.

Askew is on another level and would be a huge commit for any university. But, it’s especially important to eye this development with the potential for Askew to reclassify into 2020.

For now, Askew will hopefully be apart of Big Blue Nation at some point in the near future. With no point guard commitments in either 2020 or 2021, this would be a huge signing for UK, a school that typically depends on a freshman point guard to thrive.

There was a report Tuesday that Askew is set to commit on Thursday, but that’s since been refuted.
