Everyone knew Lynn Bowden was a playmaker, and last night, the junior wide receiver showed that he can lead his team to victory in multiple ways, putting the team on his back and carrying the Wildcats to a 24-20 victory over the Arkansas Razorbacks to bring Kentucky to 3-3 on the season.
Bowden wasn’t a stranger to the QB position. He played in high school, but really became readjusted during the last two weeks, a testament to Bowden, Mark Stoops, Eddie Gran and the offensive coaches.
With Bowden at the helm, Kentucky’s rushing attack led the way, piling up 330 yards on the ground, 196 of those coming from Bowden himself. He also completed 7/11 passes for 78 yards and a score, which came on this throw to Clevan Thomas.

Overall, this was an excellent performance by Bowden, especially taking into account the situation. Kentucky’s QB situation is still up in the air going into next week when they head to Athens to take on a Georgia Bulldogs squad fresh off of an upset loss against South Carolina.
But Kentucky had to have this win to keep their postseason hopes alive, and in the moment where his team needed him most, Lynn Bowden delivered in a huge way.
