Kentucky Basketball’s premiere is finally here, as Big Blue Madness kicks off tonight at Rupp Arena.
With both the Men’s and Women’s teams loaded with talent once again, there seems to be a chip-on-the-shoulder attitude surrounding the men’s team. Head coach John Calipari finds his roster with a few more returning players than usual, including guards Ashton Hagans and Immanuel Quickley along with big men EJ Montgomery and Nick Richards.
Those four are accompanied by multiple new talents who were highly-regarded via high school recruiting, which include Johnny Juzang, Khalil Whitney, Keion Brooks and Tyrese Maxey. The team of course has to play an entire season, build chemistry and of course prove that they’re worthy of title-contention consideration, but Friday night should at least provide some fireworks for all of Big Blue Nation.
