The Kentucky Wildcats are not shy when it comes to recruiting early and often. With one of the nation’s best classes coming in next year, the Wildcats are primed for another successful season.
However, they’re not just looking at next year. They’re looking three years into the future. Four-star class of 2022 point guard Paul McMillan IV will take the trip down 75 from Cincinnati to Lexington for at least one day.
He’ll be at Kentucky for their basketball season primer, Big Blue Madness. This news was first reported by Mike Dyer.
Woodward 2022 point guard Paul McMillan IV is expected to be at @KentuckyMBB's Big Blue Madness Friday. UK has shown significant interest in McMillan.

In addition, four-star UK commitment Lance Ware is making his way to Lexington for the big event, according to Pat Lawless.
McMillan is the third-best player in his class from the state of Ohio and is currently attending Woodward Career Technical. The point guard ranks as the 40th-best player in the class and just seven down from the last five-star recruit.
Although he may be impressed at BBM, there’s no reason to believe we’ll see a commitment anytime soon. Only one of the 60 four-or-five-star recruits have committed already. After all, it is about 30 months too soon for the bulk of the players.
That said, even attending BBM and being so close to Lexington already should give UK a leg up for McMillan.
For recruits that want to consider Kentucky, BBM is a terrific event to get a first-hand look at the passion and energy of the fanbase. McMillan should not be disappointed.
What makes it even better this year is uncommitted recruits will be visiting alongside several UK commitments, including Ware, who pledged to UK in September. Ware will be visiting alongside Terrence Clarke, who also committed to the Wildcats in September.
Ware was actually in Lexington for his official visit last week, so this trip will be unofficial. Even so, it’s great news for UK as they look to lock down several more recruits this weekend.
