Kentucky Wildcats coach John Calipari is visiting 2021 five-star A.J. Griffin today, according to Andrew Slater:
Griffin, who plays at Archbishop Stepinac in New York, is ranked as the No. 5 player in the country according to 247 Sports. Calipari also dropped by the New York Knicks’ practice to catch up with former Wildcats Julius Randle and Kevin Knox.

Calipari, as well as assistant Tony Barbee, has already visited Griffin a few times, so Griffin is clearly someone that Cal is prioritizing for the 2021 class.
Over the summer, Griffin was a key member of 2019 USA U16 National Team that won a gold medal in Brazil. He averaged 13.5 points per game while helping team USA achieve a perfect 6-0 record during their dominating run to the gold medal.
Griffin recently got off a visit to Villanova on October 4th. Griffin has an offer from Villanova as well as Duke, who are both presumed to be the favorites. Duke is the only school to have a prediction at 247 Sports or Rivals.
Griffin has already used one of his official visits, and one for Duke is almost certainly in the works. If Cal is visiting Griffin on Thursday, one would assume he is pushing for an official visit here soon, and probably an offer coming on that visit.
